I've never eating before! The freshest sea urchins . It is a standing bar "Toyo" in Kyobashi, Osaka.
Today blog is "Toyo" with Ryoko.
I ate the freshest sea urchin I have ever eaten!
The uncle chef is a celebrity featured on Netflix.
I watched it on Netflix in Germany and wanted to go there.
What kind of the restran is "Toyo" in Kyobashi, Osaka?
"Toyo" is a standing bar where you can enjoy fresh seafood such as tuna, salmon roe and sea urchin.
It's an entertaining standing bar where you can not only eat, but also enjoy the performance of the uncle chef's gas burner.
That's why there are a lot of foreign tourists.
You can't make a reservation here, and there are a lot of customers and always a line. Please note that Saturdays when there are many people close early.
We went at 16:00 on Saturday evening and we had the bitter experience of arriving after the closed line and turning back once.
Even on weekdays, there will be a little line.
Still, we recommend going once.
What tastes good?
The Most fatty tuna, fatty tuna, salmon roe, sea urchin, and broiled tuna cheek meat we ate were all delicious.
I don't like sea urchins because they smell like the sea, but the ones here were the freshest and most delicious, which was shocking.
The salmon roe is also fresh, so the elasticity when chewed is amazing. I've never eaten anything like this before.
We ordered three kinds of Fatty tuna, salmon roe, and sea urchin, but it was too delicious, so we ordered different three kinds of Most Fatty tuna, salmon roe, and sea urchin again.
Gas burner performance of the famous uncle chef!
As we ate sashimi and chatted happily, the uncle's customary performance with a gas burner began.
Everyone was taking videos with their phones.
I did too.
The uncle chef was broiling tuna cheeks meat, but the performance was more longer.
You can also communicate with Japanese.
"Toyo" is a crowded standing bar, so it is often shared one table with another people.
We also shared a table with a family traveling from the Philippines.
Other people from the U.S. and Australia were also in Toyo.
Some travelers came with strollers.
Please tell me where "Toyo" is?
Toyo is close to Kyobashi Station of JR and Keihan Line.

Finally, who can enjoy this standing bar and who can't
About standing bar "Toyo",
Who can enjoy this bar?
It is a person who can enjoy this standing bar with a long line.
In other words, those who can wait in line for an hour without any problems, and who can stand and eat without worrying about sharing a table with Japanese.
They can enjoy the taste of this bar and the performance of the uncle chef.
However, since it is a standing bar outside, I don't recommend it in the cold winter.
When I stay too long, I'm worried about the toilet.
On the other hand, those who can't enjoy ?
That is those who want to enjoy the service and high-class taste of a regular restaurant.
The clerks is very busy because there are a lot of customers.
The clerks is friendly and affable, but busy.
In other words, the clerks are too busy to order immediately, and beer and drinks are self-service.
In addition, since there is only sashimi and broiled tuna cheek meat, you will enjoy the ingredients themselves, not the ingenious taste.
Also, the performance fee(?) of the uncle chef was included.
So, Toyo is a standing bar, but it's not cheap.
Many Japanese standing bar is cheep.
The two of us had two beers, two plates of sashimi and the broided tuna cheek meat, it costed a little less than 10,000 yen (USD70$ ).
However, the taste of the sashimi was great, and we enjoyed the performance of the uncle chef.
He made us happy.
So, we thoroughly enjoyed in Toyo.
