Authentic Osaka-style okonomiyaki restaurant "Fukutaro" main store in Namba, Osaka!
Today I went to the “Fukutaro” main store, an authentic Osaka-style okonomiyaki restaurant in Nsmba,Osaka!

The restaurant is highly rated on the most famous Japanese food review site and is very popular!

It was a really good restaurant, not just a popular review.
Right!
Not only the okonomiyaki, but also the side menus were delicious!
It's worth waiting in the long line, so let's introduce the restaurant!
So, what a kind of restaurant is Fukutaro main store?
It is a delicious okonomiyaki and teppan-yaki restaurant, typical of Osaka.

But it is a thriving restaurant where reservations are not possible.
Still, we recommend going once!
Definitely!
Where is the restaurant located?
Close to Kintetsu Nihonbashi station, but only about 10 minutes walk from Osaka Metro, Kintetsu and Nankai railways in each the Namba station.→Address:Sen-nichimae2-3-17

Kuromon Market are also nearby.
The restaurant is hard to find, so we recommend using GoogleMap to find it.
Right!
A reservation system in front of the restaurant!
The restaurant opens at 12:00 p.m., but about 30 minutes before, a reservation notebook is prepared in front of the restaurant for recording your names and number of persons.

Foreign tourists were writing their names and making reservations, too!
It was written that you should be in front of the restaurant by 11:50!
Foreign tourists are highly recommended to write your names before the restaurant opens!
This is because after the restaurant opens, the reservation notebook is placed inside the restaurant and are difficult to access easily!
Entering the restaurant!
The restaurant opens at 12:00 and the waiter calls your name.
We had been waited patiently until our name was called.
The name was read off the top of the notebook and were led to the restaurant.
Exactly!

(Cited from Tabe-log)
The restaurant on the left side had counter seats for one or two persons, while on the right side had table seats for three or more.
There is also a tatami room.
I see...
We were shown to the counter seats where they were grilling okonomiyaki.
The okonomiyaki was being cooked right in front of us, and we had a really nice seat!
Exactly!
After 12 noon, there was the notebook in the restaurant.
It is shown in the upper video.
Ordering!
We hung up our jackets and coats, were seated and ordered.
Two draft beer!
Pork Okonomiyaki!
It takes about 20 to 25 minutes for the okonomiyaki to cook, so you also should order the side dishes that come first.
Plus, scallops in ponzu(citrus vinegar) sauce.
Baked oysters with the butter.
Finally, beef steak!
For now, that's about it...
The okonomiyaki of this restaurant is small, so two persons can eat three okonomiyaki.
Enjoying the meals!
First, we had a jokie of draft beer from the afternoon.

Kanpai!
Cheers!
Side dishes were coming soon.
Scallops in Ponzu(citrus vinegar)
The scallops soaked up the ponzu and were delicious.

This is delicious!
I'm sure it is.
Ponzu and scallops go well together!
We enjoyed scallop ponzu with a flavor change using lemon, green onions, or grated radish.
Plenty of condiments enhanced the flavor of the scallops.
Definitely!
It was so delicious, we wanted to drink more beer.
Baked oysters with butter
Next came the baked oysters with butter.

I was excited for some reason, so I had it right away.
The oyster flavor and butter go well together!
It's true.
This is so delicious.
Plenty of condiments also delighted us.
I think it's hard to find someone who doesn't like it.
Hahaha!
This is a highly recommended.
Wagyu(Japanese beef) Red Steak
The steak also came.
Salt enhances the flavor of the meat.
This is also delicious..
Yes!😋
We highly recommended eating this meat with garlic chips.

But while this was also delicious, it is no need to order in this restaurant!
The price is high for the taste.
You should order other side dishes!
This was quite expensive!
Pork okonomiyaki!
The pork okonomiyaki were fluffy and tender.

You should come to this restaurant to eat this.
The pork is also very tasty😋
Plenty of cabbage is also delicious.
The cabbage and pork, and their texture, and flavor of the sauce were all well balanced in this delicious okonomiyaki.
The okonomiyaki batter is fluffy!
It's really delicious.
We had a mistake to order only one pork okonomiyaki.
I'll definitely have to order yakisoba next time.
We did't have any time in that day.
We now understand why everyone lines up for this restaurant.
Thank you for the meal!
Oh, I'm so full!!
Payment!
It is an okonomiyaki restaurant, but cards were accepted.
Most okonomiyaki restaurants do not accept credit cards!
Because this restaurant has many foreign tourists.
Three beers, scallop ponzu, oyster butter, Japanese beef steak, and pork okonomiyaki were for about 9,500 yen.
At an okonomiyaki restaurant,
I used a lot money!
Hahaha😆
The others were about 2 or 3,000 yen.
The clerk read out the amount charge in a loud voice and everyone paid attention.
Who enjoys this restaurant and who not?
This is my personal opinion...
Who enjoys this restaurant?
This is a person who wants to experience the atmosphere of an Osaka okonomiyaki restaurant.
The okonomiyaki has a good taste.
The staff is affable.
You can eat authentic okonomiyaki of the Osaka style in this restaurant!

It's understandable that many foreigners come.
Who not?
That is someone who do not like to stand in long line.
I can't believe I had to wait in line just to eat okonomiyaki.
I see...
You can get good okonomiyaki at other restaurants.
Well, that's one opinion.
There were a couple of okonomiyaki restaurants within a 100-meter radius from this restaurant, so if you are hungry, it might be better to go there.
Thank you for reading to the end!
