We went to the Sky Building in Umeda, a place we have been live in Osaka but rarely visit!

So, we would like to visit the recent Sky Building observation deck.

What's "Sky Building" in Umeda?

The Sky Building is a form of two buildings connected by a rooftop observation deck, making it look as if they are one building.

Its good design makes it popular among foreign tourists.

But there is a trick to getting to the Sky Building.

The Sky Building is located in Umeda, but from JR Osaka Station and Hankyu Umeda Station, you have to cross the JR train freight yard on the way.→Link of FAQ about sky building

It was a winter evening when we went.

When we went there around 6 o'clock in the evening, people walking were heading towards the Sky Building one after another.

So, we arrived at the Sky Building and waited about 30 minutes to enter the rooftop observation deck.

We both wished there were more elevators.

"Heart Lock" can only be purchased with a reservation.

Young couples engrave their names on heart-shaped lock by machine.

The many heart locks were locked the place of the observation deck.

There is a ticket vending machine at the observation deck, but it is recommended to make a reservation on the web for admission tickets as there is a bit of a line.

Enjoy the night view from the Sky Building observation deck.

You can see the buildings of Umeda and the night view of Osaka beautifully.

You can see the night view from Umeda to the east, west, south, and north.

There was also this interesting trick!

Fluorescent agent embedded in the ground glows under a black light.

It is earth-like.

I also enjoyed Saturn.

There is also a souvenir shop!

The souvenir store are mostly for tourists.

We waited 30 minutes to get in and enjoyed an hour on the observation deck with taking pictures.

If you have been there in the past, there are many places that have changed quite a bit now, so I recommend going once.

After leaving the Sky Building, we were able to get into an okonomiyaki restaurant in ohatsutenjin street of Umeda before 8:00 p.m.
